Matt Hardy is a professional wrestler, musician, actor, writer, and director. He is best known for his time with WWE under the ring name Matt Hardy, with his brother Jeff (BMB) Hardy as his tag team partner. This gimmick was used until August 15, 2005 when he changed his ring name back to "Matt Hardy." On October 10, 2005, Hardy turned heel in order to form another tag team with his brother Jeff. They were put into the villainous stable The Brood along with Edge and Christian, who would become their rivals. In February 2006, they won the World Tag Team Championship from Edge and Christian in a Tables Match at WrestleMania 22 in New Orleans.

On November 17 at Survivor Series in Toronto, the Brood lost their championship to Randy Orton and Batista in a Six-Pack Challenge.
